Tokyo Dawn Labs has introduced TDR Nova, a freeware parallel dynamic equalizer effect in VST/AU/AAX plugin formats for Windows and Mac OS based host applications.

Apparently, the latest Tokyo Dawn Labs freebie is based on the fantastic free Nova-67P equalizer, developed as a KVR Developer Challenge entry by Vladislav Goncharov aka vladg/sound, who is now a member of the Tokyo Dawn Labs developer trio (joined by Bootsy from Variety Of Sound).

The brand new TDR Nova equalizer brings an improved set of features, packed in a much more refined user interface (although we were quite fond of the no-frills scientific look of the original Nova-67P plugin). TDR Nova sports a classic parametric equalizer layout, expanded with an elaborate dynamics section. The plugin is suitable for extremely precise and versatile dynamic processing of the audio material on the input, be it a full stereo mix or a single audio track. It can work well as your standardbread and butter parametric EQ, as well as a powerful dynamics processor with frequency selective compression and multi-band compression for mastering purposes.

TDR Nova is available for free download via Tokyo Dawn Labs (13 MB download size, ZIP archive or optional EXE installer, 32-bit & 64-bit VST/AU/AAX plugin formats for Windows & Mac OS).
