Roland prepares a possible boutique reissue of its iconic D-50 digital synthesizer, the first synth to combine pure digital synthesis with samples, including for the first time an effects engine with reverb. The Linear Arithmetic Synthesis was a response of the Japanese brand to the monopoly of the Yamaha DX7 and its FM.
The new synthesizer will be presented at the Experience Rolandevent, on September 9, at 909 Day, which will be dedicated to synthesizers.
The event will start from the 7th to the 14th of September and will be dedicated to various new products of the Japanese company.

All 808 is completely free to download through Splice Sounds. The samples were captured with a Prism Orpheus audio interface, processed with a Neve 1073 preamplifier. The samples are in 24-bit WAV format, ensuring complete compatibility with all DAW or samplers.
Behringer, after announcing its Behringer D, tribute to the classic MiniMoog Model D, already has another card up its sleeve, winking at a replica of the iconic Roland SH-101.
At the same moment that Roland was celebrating “808 Day”, Behringer showed a photo with an instrument like the SH-101, with similar visual features, and with the abbreviations MS-101. It would be a full-size replica, of analog circuit, with features to be able for use it like a guitar.
We do not yet have data about its specifications, but its sound will be good for sure, there is already a good precedent, because people is talking nice about the Behringer D.

The Google team has created a very special doodle that lets you play music from your own web browser. This doodle is dedicated to Hip-Hop movement’s anniversary that according to Google reach 44 years.
Entering the doodle you can use a set of two turntables, a crossfader, a BPM control and a small collection of classic drum breaks, loops and samples. You also have a “sync” button that you can also deactivate to synchronize beats by hand.
Each recording is in stereo, so you can use your headphones or speakers you already have. A nice doodle to enjoy this curious tribute that includes a realistic experience of playing music and recordings.
The legendary Roland TR-808 drum machine resurrects in its boutique version, arriving on “808 Day” (8-August). The new TR-08 is a digital replica from original TR-808 with its classic look and controls.
The new TR-08 has the Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) digital technology, which models the analog circuits at the level of each component, recreating the “details and anomalies” of the original TR-808. The control panel retains the same buttons, switches and dials as the TR-808, although it has a small size like others units from Roland Boutique family.
Among its additions, a sequencer of 16 substeps per step is now offered to create sequences with more detailed and complex fillings with rolls. The unit is compatible with external equipment and modular synth through voltage control. It also offers USB connection to process its 10 voices separately and audio / MIDI connections.

Each of these voices offers the classic editing controls present in the original 808 to modify aspects such as pitch, length, timbre or color, along with compression or panning effects, for some of the instruments.
The TR-08 offers LED display with tempo and shuffle information. You can program in steps or play parts in real time without stopping to change modes.
The TR-08 got all the features of the Boutique range such as USB bus power or batteries and integrated speaker. Also, is compatible with DK-01 Boutique Dock, which allows adjusting the viewing angle of the panel.
