The Google team has created a very special doodle that lets you play music from your own web browser. This doodle is dedicated to Hip-Hop movement’s anniversary that according to Google reach 44 years.
Entering the doodle you can use a set of two turntables, a crossfader, a BPM control and a small collection of classic drum breaks, loops and samples. You also have a “sync” button that you can also deactivate to synchronize beats by hand.
Each recording is in stereo, so you can use your headphones or speakers you already have. A nice doodle to enjoy this curious tribute that includes a realistic experience of playing music and recordings.
The drum and bass world scene is in mourning. The Manchester producer Marcus Kaye aka Marcus Intalexhas died last weekend, the news was announced through the Facebook account of Soul:R label.
Various artists related to the Manchester scene expressed their condolences, surprised by their early goodbye. Marcus Intalex, who also developed his alterego Trevino, is considered a pioneer on the scene in Manchester, active since the early 90s, was the founder of Soul:R label, and co-founder of Revolve:R, emporiums dedicated to the most interesting drum and bass side, where genres such as soul, funk, jazz and disco were fused with voices, potent beats and subsonic basses. Kaye was the founder, resident DJ, and promoter of the Soul:ution series of drum and bass parties in Manchester.
Marcus Intalex was definitely one of the great musicians of Manchester thanks to his musical vision and his eagerness for technology, innovating and pushing the limits of creativity, making true timeless works that still captivate dancers and music lovers today.

Today is mourning the world electronic scene with the passing of Italian dream trance star Robert Miles, who has died aged 47 on the Spanish island of Ibiza, on May 9.
The producer was known for imposing a unique character style, hoisted by strings and melodic pianos mixed with a slower punch tempo rhythms, creating nostalgic and beautiful landscapes that captivated everyone in the mid 90s. His “Children” hymn of 1995 sold more than 5 million copies and spent 13 consecutive weeks in the number one of the Euro Top 100.
Miles was also characterized by powerful dj sets that contrasted with his dream style, being techno and ambient his favorite genres that he played arround the world, filling the dance floors around the world. He created eight studio albums, his debut album Dreamland is the best known of his work and the most representative.
According to diverse information in social networks, his death is related to cancer that the dj suffered for a long time.
Now, Miles is immortalized in his music, our memories and hearts.
Kraftwerk, the legendary band from Düsseldorf is preparing a new live album that will be accompanied by a 3D movie, a compilation that draws from all the latest tours and cultural events made by the German quartet.
The work is titled 3-D The Catalogue, gathering presentations in Art Galleries and those emblematic third dimension shows realized around the world.

According to information published in Pitchfork, the package can be enjoyed through various formats including 2D and 3D versions of eight classic Kraftwerk’s albums: Autobahn, Radioactivity, Trans Europe Express, The Man-Machine, Computer World, Techno Pop, The Mix and Tour De France.
The Blu-Ray version of 3-D The Catalogue will contain a 228-page book, featuring with DVD, Vinyl, CD, stream and digital download. In addition, two small versions will be released on Blu-Ray, DVD and double-vinyl.
The date of this release is scheduled for next 26th May.
William Bevan, -better known as Burial– is famous for his great music quality, as well as striving to maintain a low profile in the London music scene. His homonymous LP earned him great recognition by the specialized critics, further consolidating the myth behind the artist.
Now, Burial has a remix of Goldie‘s classic “Inner City Life”, and will be released on the legendary drum and bass label Metalheadz, created by Goldie, Kemistry and Storm in 1994. The original version of “Inner City Life” was released in that same year, reaching first places of the UK charts.
It should be mentioned that Goldie also prepares a new album called The Journey Man to be released next June 16, under Metalheadz‘s label.
Ikutaro Kakehashi, Roland‘s founder, dies aged 87 years. Kakehashi, born in Hamamatsu (the Japanese “City of Music”), founded Ace Electronics in 1964 with the passion to develop the electronic organ, inspired by Hammond and Leslie.
He later formed the Roland Corporation, the company’s leader for over 40 years, a creative core that delivered legendary products such as the TB-303, TR-808, TR-909, SH-101, Jupiter, Juno, D50 or CR-78, instruments that contributed a distinctive sound in the development of electronic music.
Kakehashi received the Grammy award, along with Dave Smith in the year 2012, for the contributions in the development of MIDI protocol. He also published the book “I believe in Music” on Roland’s 30th anniversary in 2002.
