AfroDJMac has announced the release of MELT Factor, a freely downloadable pitch-drifting effect rack for Ableton Live.
MELT Factor emulates the tone instability of old analogue synthesizers, VHS tapes and vinyl records, ideal for those looking to bring a vintage style to their productions. It offers two LFOs with quantity and speed parameters, 2 pitch-drifting effects, bitcrusher and noise generator with three different types.
Now it offers two color LED displays for editing samples, notes, mixing processes and navigation. Now all pads are larger, with a four-way push encoder for navigation and a touch strip to effects, pitch-bending and strumming notes. The equipment has an integrated audio interface with line outputs and inputs to connect monitors, it will also make it easier to sample audio outside of the studio.

Spire Studio, by Izotope is a portable recorder with an iOS app, with which you can record material through the built-in microphone, by pressing a “Rec” button in the center of device.
You can also connect sound sources to your pair of XLR / TS combo jacks, including condenser microphones with phantom power, also has two headphone outputs, by which we can listen to a metronome. The volume and peak references are given through a ring of LEDs.
You can apply effects and emulations of guitar amplifier in real time or the shot made, as well as noise reduction, through free Spire app with Wi-Fi with Spire Studio. This app serves as an 8-track recorder and mixer that we can stack to build musical sketches, or profesional project with basic editing functions.
Check video below.
Adjusting the volume and panning of each track and mute, or mono or stereo projects can be easily set. Finally, the app lets you export tracks and share your projects with other friends.
Spire Studio has a 4-hour operating time, thanks to a lithium-ion battery, and internal storage capacity for 6 hours, recording at 24-bit / 48kHz.
The Tracktion team has a policy of giving us their DAWs for free. Tracktion 6 is available without limitations for download on Tracktion website, with all advanced features, unlimited audio and MIDI tracks, VST / AU / Linux VST plugin support, MIDI Learn, audio comping, step sequencer, automation and timestretch Z-Plane Elastique Pro, and more.

TR-808 fever continues; now MVStudio team presents another emulation of Roland’s drum machine, but with a new approach to iOS.
The MV08, promises the sound of the vintage drum machine, but with a graphic panel adapted to Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
MV08 adds panorama and tone parameters to each voice of this emulation, also offers two editable send effects for each voice, along with a three-band master equalizer and a novel distortion effect. The app comes with more than 200 samples recorded at 16bit / 44.4kHz with 128 user patterns, spread over eight 16-pattern banks.

All controls of each instrument can be sequenced at each step, for many possibilities to rythm creation, you can also achieve powerful bass lines. The length of each pattern is variable between one and 64 steps, while its resolution is 16 or 32 steps, to create complex times and loops. According to developer James Milton Apps, are features that were never possible in a Roland TR-808 original.
MV08 is compatible with Audiobus, Inter-App Audio and Ableton Link standards, so there are no compatibility issues for what you use in your studio.

Reaktorreaches version 6.2 introducing integration with devices and assemblies created by other manufacturers within NI platform. Now the third-party assemblies in Reaktor are now covered by the NKS format of control mapping and library organization within Native Instruments controllers such as Komplete Kontrol S keyboards and Maschine platform.
It also offers Reaktor Player compatibility with third-party creations, now running just like Kontakt and Kontakt Player.
The download is free and is available on Native Access.
Called simply BASS SYNTH, the instrument will allow you to create basslines within the Maschine environment with features that include morph, sine, saw, square waves and “all spots in between” or choose between presets.
Maschine Jam owners will also have glide features with hardware, to get TB-303 style sounds. This tool is aimed at musicians with limited knowledge of synthesis.
The update also adds a keyboard mode isomorphic to Maschine Jam playing melodies and chords.
For all lovers of chiptune sounds, especially those of the Sega Master System; SocaLabs introduces SN76489, a free virtual instrument in VST and AU that emulates the Sega sound chip and other similar video game consoles: the Texas Instruments SN76489. Which is in the Sega Master System and other similar game consoles from 80s and 90s.
The plugin has three monophonic pulse oscillators (three voices in total) and one noise oscillator with adjustable noise type (periodic and white). The user can change the volume of each sound source and also noise speed control oscillator.
It also offers a waveform display in the center of the interface in real time.
SN76489 emulates the sonic feature of the “lo-fi” sound chip delivering authentic raw sound very difficult to find on other synthesizers.
It is available as a VST and Audio Unit plugin for PC and Mac 32-bit and 64-bit.
The Palm technology design can reproduce all kinds of sounds and transform them into a universal set of parameters to be modified. The synth includes wavetable elements. 3D waveforms, and various effects options with “noise” generator.
