Whitebox Synth Makers has expanded their product arsenal with LoTech, a free Ableton Live device inspired by the Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer.
“This is a rework of a Max for Live TB-303, but I added phasor and an extra waveform. This simple thing can give hours of tweaking pleasure if you have nothing else to do. Note the exciting retro look dials! All functional.”
LOTECH is an improved version of an older Roland TB-303 style bass synthesizer developed in Max for Live. This new version of the instrument incorporates built-in phaser effect and an additional waveform in the oscillator section.
You’ll find several other Max for Live devices on the download page linked below, so check it out if you’re on a lookout for cool Ableton Live instruments and effects. The same developer has also released a bunch of freeware instruments in VSTi plugin format in the past, which are now available in a separate section on their website.
Please note that you’ll need to have Max for Live installed on your computer in order to use this device. If you’re an Ableton Live 9 Suite owner, this means that you already have M4L on your machine.
