Bristol-based drum & bass leader Roni Size, 44, has announced his first solo album since 2004′s Return to V. His latest, Take Kontrol, will herald the unveiling of Size’s new label, Mansion Sounds. The digital version delivers 25 tracks plus a DJ mix, while the CD features 16 cuts. A six-track EP, Size Matters, will precede the album on August 18th. Both records will focus on “dancefloor cuts for the heads,” the beats n’ bass pioneer says. It has also been revealed that a new album from Reprazent, the live drum & bass crew captained by Size, will drop in early 2015. A free jump-up-style track, “Bite The Bullet (2014 remix),” is available for fans who register for the Roni Size mailing list right now on his Facebook page. Mansion Sounds will release Size Matters on August 18th. Take Kontrol will follow on August 25th.
